Anne Leyden
Anne is an actress, singer, writer, wife, mother, and birth doula...not necessarily in that order. Anne rejoined show business in 2010 after a 15 year absence to rear and homeschool her three young boys, and operate a successful childbirth education and birth doula business. Since returning to performing, Anne has appeared in film, TV, and stage. Anne most recently took the leap and performed her own words around town in a staged reading series covering everything from motherhood to sunburns, with relationships and a rendition of Santa Baby thrown in for good measure. Anne is a proud member of Theatre West and has been seen most recently as; Anne in Leslie Caveny's One Woman Gone Wrong, Andrea in Family Only, Bernice in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Anne received rave reviews and a Scenie award for her work as Edith in The Women. Anne has participated in the New Works festival known as WestFest for the last eight years ushering new words onto the boards. Anne has been honored to perform numerous roles in the award winning Storybook Theatre, theatre for young audiences. Past favorite's include a one hander Why Me, Janet in Waiting for the Parade, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Bernadette Devlin in The Freedom of the City, Julie Cavendish in The Royal Family. Appearances on TV and New Media include; Grey's Anatomy Private Practice Serial Bill Waiting for Moore Gabriel's Fire Quantum Leap Anne is married to actor Bill Sehres. They are the proud owners of three young men, Jack, Charlie, and Seamus Sehres. In that order. When Anne is not performing you can find her birthing babies, not her own.... |
